This can include contact details, date of birth, address, account activity, transaction information and verification documents.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate accounts and auctions, verify eligibility and identity, process memberships and vehicle payments, prevent fraud, provide customer support, coordinate post-sale services, maintain transaction records and improve ProMotorBid.
Identity Verification
Government identification submitted for verification is treated as sensitive account information. Verification files are stored in restricted-access storage and are available only to authorized personnel and service providers that need access for verification, security or legal purposes.
Payments
Payment information is handled by our payment processing providers. ProMotorBid does not need to store full card numbers in its application database. We retain transaction identifiers, membership status, invoices and payment status needed to operate your account.
Service Providers
We use service providers for hosting, database and authentication services, payment processing, email delivery, security, analytics and other business functions. These providers receive information only as needed to perform their services.
International Buyers
If you use ProMotorBid from outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Vehicle export and import requirements remain subject to the laws of the relevant jurisdictions.
Retention and Security
We retain records for as long as reasonably necessary for transactions, account security, legal obligations, dispute resolution and business operations. We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to limit unauthorized access, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
You may update most profile information from your account and may contact us regarding account or privacy questions. Some transaction, verification and legal records may need to be retained even after an account is no longer active.
